64/365 Bright

bright barn

We went out of town this past weekend to celebrate little brother's first birthday. We had some good traveling weather, and I remembered to take some photos on the way down.

I always love driving past all the farmland and seeing all the barns. During the winter months, we don't see any of the cows or anything, but hopefully by the next time we have to travel out of town, that will not be the case.

We are currently in the middle of a winter weather storm, hopefully this will be the last of the season. (I'm hopeful, not stupid.)

You are hopeful that is your last storm and we are expecting one to start tonight, hopeful it is our first one! We haven't gotten anymore than 2 inches and we are hoping for 5-10 tonight into tomorrow! Fingers crossed. I just want to go sledding once this year!

Love the barn!

I love taking trips where I am not driving but instead in full control of the camera for pictures out of the window. One of my favorite travel snaps is of barns - your example here would definitely catch my eye. I like the colorful texture you have added as well.

Snow on the ground always makes for good pictures but I'm sure you will be pleased when Spring is here again.

Love the painterly feel your texture gives to this classic pastoral scene... I created my first ever textured image today and share over at Nancy's as well...

The colors in the barn and surrounding buildings are terrific! Nice job processing. I too am hopeful that the winter downpours of snow are done... but, could handle one more before I fly out on vacation! Thanks for sharing.
