33/365 This Guy

This guy is  another month older, and he is turning into the little guy. I had hoped to get this post done earlier today, but other things just kept happening, I didn't have any time in front of the computer. So, hopefully I will remember everything I wanted to document, but my memory is really bad, we will see how this goes.

I think it's safe to say we are nearing the end of teething. November and December were rough months, between the illnesses, viruses and teething, we've had it all. Teething and sickness at the same time was one of the worst things ever. But, during January we only had one rough spot that didn't last too long. I got visual confirmation that three of the four two year molars were through, so we are nearly there.

We've had some great success with potty training. I think we've got a ways to go, but he is going regularly, talking about it, wearing training pants and underwear, and for the most part enjoys the whole process of "turning into a big boy." At times, he likes to do baby things, so we've got that little hurdle, but we are making progress and that is always a plus.

He really loves playing with little brother and tries to interact with him pretty regularly. There are obvious time where sharing is an issue, but it is usually resolved pretty quickly without too many issues. It will be fun to see how this progress. He really does care for his little brother, he likes to help put him to bed and sing the good night song, he helps with bottles and cleaning, and picking clothes out for the day. It's been fun.

He has expanded his ABC skills into some spelling, so we work on that anytime we are writing and talking about the ABCs. He can spell a handful of words, his name, happy, no, go, dog. We are working on more and letter - word association.

This is a really fun age!! It will be fun to see how he grows more this month!

adorable guy. adorable photo. SUPER impressive language skills. My little lady is almost 5 and she can't spell those words, aside from her name!!! Getting over the potty training hump is so exciting - almost there.
